I'd rather have any of the weapons listed above before it. It's a good pick if you get it, but honestly, why not get Runetracer or Death Spiral? Cross is good in early game, but by late game. Certainly not strong enough to be worth using Clover. The top tier list search on Google lists Cross as an S-Tier weapon. I've heard people say that Heaven Sword is the best thing since sliced bread. It's good, what can I say? B-Tier (They're good, and have uses, but they're often not the best choices) But most importantly of all, Death Spiral is a reasonably fast-firing, infinitely piercing circle of death that knocks back everything it hits, dealing serious damage on the way. For another, it- on average- levels up to give you reliable bang for your buck as the game continues. For one, it synergizes extremely well with its passive, Candelabrador. Once it evolves, the fireballs become much bigger, and pierce forever. It rewards you for getting Spinach, one of the best passives. It fires big fireballs that do a lot of damage. Fast and with infinite piercing, it can easily dispatch enemies for you. Runetracer is rarely the first pick weapon among S and A tiers within builds, but if you ever have it, it remains that it's extremely reliable. But it doesn't synergize incredibly well with the newer, super-strong weapons like Gorgeous Moon and Phieraggi, aside from the fact it kills a lot of enemies fast. Runetracer is extremely powerful, it's undeniable. There's no build in the game that doesn't richly benefit from that passive, so why not grab Holy Wand while you're at it? Magic Wand is still extremely good, though, due to the required passive, the ever-useful Empty Tome. This would be higher for this ability alone, however PDT and ETS have a reliable, fast way to deal with bosses, and once you evolve them, bosses can't get in close due to the slowdown. Apart from the 20 minute and 25 minute bosses, it stun locks bosses, too, so you can just stay relatively close and machine gun them to death. From level 1, this weapon is the dark horse weapon that has your back, keeping enemies that break through your knockback defenses as dead as the ones trapped by those same defenses. It's a shame, too, because La Borra pairs really well with Gorgeous Moon.

Before the release of Gorgeous Moon, I would have put it above Song of Mana, but since La Borra requires Attractorb, it can be seen as a waste of a passive slot after acquiring Gorgeous Moon. Since the zones slowly creep inward toward the player, it rewards remaining relatively stationary, so it's not for every build, but for every build that does use it, this is invaluable. Before evolution, it's not very reliable, but post-evolution, it outputs a huge amount of damage in wide swaths of the map. Upon evolution, it's even stronger, and combined with other 'barrier-style' weapons, can allow you to simply sit and wait out the 30 minute timer.Ī highly underrated weapon. With added duration, it becomes a permanent kill-zone around you, keeping you safe from all but bosses. At level 2, the area is enough to safely run through enemies for ages, running toward stage items or just farming enemies to level up quickly. Song of Mana level 2 makes that obsolete. The one thing that made Garlic valuable whatsoever was that it would allow you to coast through the early game, killing every enemy on contact. A-Tier (Weapons that are very strong and a worthy selection on almost any build)

With Spellbinder, Empty Tome and Duplicator, it's almost invincible, even before evolution. The only way to replace it in a build is to dedicate several slots to alternatives. King Bible is a solid early-game defensive tool, and Unholy Vespers single-handedly carries late games. Add Bracer, Candelabrador and Empty Tome into the mix, and you'll be unstoppable. It evolves by unionizing along with Tiragisu into a weapon that turns you into a Touhou boss, with several lasers constantly covering the field, dealing damage and slowing enemies, with additional lasers and damage added per Revival stocks. As it grows stronger, bullets move faster, fire faster, and go through more enemies. It functions by firing shots in the four diagonal directions. Phiera Der Tuphello, Eight The Sparrow (Phieraggi)

If there was an S+ tier, this would be in it. As long as you have a reliable weapon with knockback, and cooldown reduction, you will never lose unless you try to screw it up. Pentagram used to be a total avoid, however, this evolution has made it invaluable. Here it is, a new Weapons Tier List with explanations, as of the 0.3.1h Beta! S-Tier (Items that are all but unbalanced and can easily win games single-handedly)
